ABOUT US

  • • Our activities in the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology were initiated by Dr. R. Shoureshi, Dean of SECS, on November 2nd, 2006, who appointed M. Kumosa to be the initial lead during this process.

    • Several faculty members from NSM and SECS met twice on December 15, 2006 and February 2, 2007.

  • • Conduct state-of-the-art research in the area of nanoscience and nanoengineering.

    • Offer state-of-the-art undergraduate and graduate education in the above area.

  • • The Center creates a forum for major research interactions among researchers from several departments at DU.

    • The Center provides strong “moral support” for junior faculty.

    • Major capital equipment is shared through the Center.

    • Improves national research competitiveness of the University of Denver.

    • Enhances the national and international reputation of DU.

  • The Center has now 23 regular members from the following 8 departments and organizations at DU:
